Only reason I watch the Acolyte is so that I can fully enjoy the EFAP, Disparu and other videos - its like it has come full circle - I originally watched stuff because I enjoyed it - now I watch it so I can more fully enjoy the roasting/dismantling it.

What i love about Red letter media... they are actual characters. I watched a lot of EFAP and all of RLM stuff. I can tell a lot about Mike, Rich and Jay's personalities. EFAP guys on the other hand are all alike. All i know about them is: Mauler makes long youtube videos, Little platoon is intelligent and gay and Nerdrotic is an ex-alcoholic.

I disagree that the RLM guys think that the Disney stuff is equal to or somehow better than the prequels. After the last Disney movie, a lot of people were saying stuff like "the sequels made them appreciate the prequels". They agree Disney makes burning garbage that is way worse, but they have the perspective that the prequels were still hot garbage. Making an actual dumpster fire does not make the hot garbage better. And they are right, everything that people hate about Disney, Lucas did first: Boring stoic non-characters who never develop or have arcs, characters with unclear motivations, unclear terms on who the Jedi are, plots that make no sense, plot holes that destroy established canon/lore, destruction of minor characters for nostalgia bait that required lies and/or memory wipes (R2D2 and C3PO saw EVERYTHING) to fix, insertion of present day politics (it was the 90s and clearly ol' George hated taxes), stealing random imagery/ideas from unrelated films to put in his films, etc. I could go on. I hated The Clone Wars, and they were made by Feloni under George Lucas. People need to stop trying to bring back the prequels as some sort of example of greatness...sure great compared to Disney, but still pretty awful and unwatchable. What makes Lycas a better creator is for all the criticism he got for the prequels, he never attacked fans. (Social media wasn't a thing back then, so who knows of his being a good sport was by choice)

Elden Ring is one of my favorite games with over 600 hours played, though I will freely admit to the problems it has. To me, the bosses aren't the primary draw, it's the exploration. I thoroughly love exploring all the beautiful vistas and finding secrets. The same is true of the DLC, which has some amazing new areas. The bosses, sadly, are a lot more annoying.

Seems very dishonest of Theo to say that the only defence mechanism we have is rolling, and we can't adjust the speed of that roll. There's shields, spells, running, jumping, and even talismans that boost the amount of invinicbility frames you have during rolls. I've been a Fromsoft fan since Dark Souls 1 was their latest game, and I have a TON of issues with Elden Ring, but I can't get behind some of these complaints he has with the DLC, when I had the complete opposite experience, and thougut the Dancing Lion was the first boss to properly telegraph it's attacks, and I was able to properly react to them on my first few attempts (without summons and without meta). Rellana felt like such a refreshing boss, and maybe that's because I played through the DLC with the first ever sorcery build I've used across Fromsoft's games, with the Carian Shield too, but she felt fun and very easy to punish between attacks, as well as easy to read in terms of her movements. I don't use summons in general, because I believe they ruin the boss fight experience, and I don't use meta, because I much prefer Fashion Souls and whatever weapons and shield I like the look of. I agree on delayed attacks being a major issue though, at least in terms of appearing across so many bosses, but I don't understand how Theo can say he does too, while also saying Morgott is his favourite boss fight, when he's the biggest offender of said crime in my opinion.

A better comparison for what the Jedi actually do, would be the White Tower from Wheel of Time. They take ALL women they find who have the ability to channel simply to train them on how to use it so they don't harm themselves or others or become dangerous in general and if they have the proper aptitude or talent then they keep them to become Aes Sedai, and, even some Aes Sedai still turned evil, much like Dooku and Asajj because power and corruption are still a thing, and also like the Jedi, arrogance nearly brought them all down.
